What’s Going On At Vouts?  you may ask! May and June put these down in your diaries boys and girls.

Thank you to  the 100 or so members who made Vouts 2nd Birthday so much fun that nobody can remember who went home with who, let alone what they drank! May there be many more dancathons. Mon23  Life Drawing 6.45-8.45 £7 2 models this week!

Wed 25  Short film Night curated by the wonderful dir. Greg Hall 6 British shorts about F**ked Up Love.  Extremely popular get be early to get a good seat. 7pm  £5

Fri  27  Saboteur Awards hosted by poet Claire Trevien. awards to small publications and independent publishers and original performers of the spoken word. Public voted. Wonderful Literary night supported by Sacred Gin.

Sat 28th  Rising Poetry Magazine 66th edition. Tim Wells magazine consistently the best of British Poetry supported by Vout-O-Reenees. live poetry great performance plenty of laughs. FREE. from 7pm.

Tues 31st Members and their guests pre- Private View and grand Gallery re-opening with John Claridges amazing East End Photographs from the 50’s on 6-til late.


Wed 1st –  Publishers Spitalfields Life PV and book launch John Claridge East End 6- til late

Fri 3rd – Sophie Parkin’s Birthday come help me celebrate my 55years of being on the planet. No gifts necessary but always appreciated! Dancing shoes and proper dress up please.  7 til late.

Mon 6th –  Life drawing til 8.30 then a bit of an anniversary party for Jan and me, Congratulations on not Itching too much through our 7years.

Thurs 9th – Fundraising Auction for charity Little Paper Slippers by founder artist Marie Louise Jones working  with Mothers and children in Refuges and shelter for abused women. Artists include Molly Parkin, Gavin Turk, Fiona Dealey, Julia Madison, Jess de wahl, John Claridge, Lauren Baker, Marie Louise Jones.  with entertainment by Will Pickvance and guest auctioneer 7-11 Free but come and bid for some art. f you like shoes you’ll love this.

Sat 11th  Garry Roost is The Secret Life of Francis Bacon – An outstanding performance. The fastest way I know of getting to know Bacon and his work this is a true tour de force through Bacon’s life and art. Garry looks so much like Francis it’s scary! please RSVP book tickets with me. £10

Thurs 16th – Holly Jade O’Leary fresh from their success in Berlin present The Jewelled moon Theatre Baroque. This is outstanding theatrical event costume music poetry acrobatics. Dress to the theme pictures on the website and booking details £18

Sat 8th – Midsummer Mayhem – A night curated by author and poet Lana Citron with comedy from Abigail Burdess,  poetry by judy May Murphy, literature by silver dagger winner  Nicholas Blincoe with music by Lucia Aranguren and dancing. £10

JULY 2nd is The 2nd Poetry Brothel London titled Private Lives. This is extremely popular for good reason you must book with us if you wish to come no entry otherwise,.
