Galley Beggar Press Celebrates Winter Soltice at The Yellow Book Salon

Galley Beggar Press have a Booker prize short listed novel with Lucy Ellmann’s¬Ý Ducks,Newburyport. ¬Ý Hooray!
They are an amazing publishers indy passionate, considered and original. Members of Vouts they had a wonderful independent summer party at Vouts just after the success A girl is a half formed thing by Eimear McBride. It remains one of my favourite evenings ever.

Just a very quick message to say that authors lined up we have:
– Toby Litt (reading from his new novel Patience, which is just about to come out and is getting tremendous reviews).
– Preti Taneja (who won the Desmond Elliott Prize for her debut last year – We that are young – and will be reading from new work)
– Alex Pheby (previously shortlisted for the Wellcome Book Prize and joint-winner this year for the Republic of Consciousness – he’ll be reading from his upcoming book Mordew)
– Jim Clammer¬Ý -reading from his first adult novel, Insignificance, out with us next autumn.
