Salty Solstice has been postponed until the spring at Vout-O-Reenee’s – A fine selection of Salt authors will be reading from their work. Join Simon Okotie, D. J. Taylor, Julian Stannard, Venetia Welby, Chris Emery, Bibi Berki, Peter Daniels, Samuel Fisher, Daniel Hardisty and more for an evening of Saline merriment hosted by the inimitable David Collard.
Salt is one of the UK’s foremost independent publishers and has changed the landscape of contemporary British literature. ‘In a publishing world where everything seems to be about agglomeration, it’s cheering to see a company making a sustained case for the power of the small and the singular. I have been surprised and delighted by so many of Salt’s books over the years. It has compelled me to read outside the box. Watching its list grow and develop has been an unpredictable pleasure.’ Claire Armitstead, The Guardian
London’s best bookshop Burley Fisher will be there to make sure all your bookish needs are met. Everyone deserves a Salt book for Christmas, so please come and enjoy the very best of indie publishing and bookselling. Hear some singular fiction and poetry, chat to the authors, stock up on Xmas presents and celebrate Salt with a Salty Dog or, for the very festive, a tequila shot…
No entry fee but please consider making a donation to the excellent Trussell Trust.
