Forgotten Places of Alaska, Iceland and Ireland.

It features thirty images of abandoned sites including glacier-side bunkhouses, rural Irish and Icelandic cottages and an infamous derelict Alaskan bus.

About the artist:

Paul Scannell was born in Dublin and has been working as a photographer in London and North America since 2007. His fascination with capturing the fast-disappearing mining history of Eastern Alaska lead him to author a book of images, ‘Abandoned Alaska’, which has been featured in The Telegraph and in The Smithsonian Magazine. He has also received generous coverage in The Irish Times. An artist residency in Iceland enabled him to further immerse himself in creating images of deserted homes and settlements. He sees his art as a means to preserve connections within communities.  He is happiest when he’s telling stories and following northern light.
